How long is the plan term?
You can choose your term from 5 to 25 years when you apply, enabling you to pay for your system installation while you benefit from the energy savings.
How do I apply?
Your engineer will send you a personal link to apply alongside their installation quote. Our secure application takes 2 minutes, won’t impact your credit score, and provides an instant decision in most cases. There’s no obligation to proceed once you’ve been approved for finance.
What equipment will I get?
Our payment plans are available across a rangeof leading brands. Your engineer will design an appropriate system, tailored to your property and power usage, and provide detailed specifications and energy-saving estimates during the design process.
How soon can my system be installed?
Lead times depend on your chosen engineer’s availability, so it’s best to check with them.
Who will install & maintain the system?
We have a nationwide network of highly qualified engineers, who install quality systems and maintain them with care. They’ll be friendly, punctual and tidy when working at your property – and we’ll check in with you afterwards to make sure you’re happy with their work. Ongoing maintenance will be taken care of by the same engineer, giving you consistent service from a trusted provider. On the rare occasion that they’re unavailable, we’ll arrange an alternative through our network.
How does the Solar Plan differ from a standard loan?
Financing enables you to spread the cost of your new installation, rather than paying upfront. The Solar Plan offers longer terms than standard loans, enabling you to reduce your monthly payment amount. It also covers monitoring and inspections, so you can have confidence that your system is performing as it should. And with unlimited repairs included and no callout fees, you won’t have to worry about unexpected bills for the plan lifetime.
How does the Solar Plan differ from the manufacturer’s warranty?
Our pre-emptive service and rapid responsesets us apart. Continuous remote system monitoring and periodic on-site inspections enable us to detect and remedy performance issues, before they significantly impact your power generation and storage. Whereas manufacturers often take days to schedule a visit, we can call upon the engineer who installed your panels and our wider engineer network for repair work. Warranties may have shorter terms than your chosen plan – particularly for inverters and batteries, where the average expected lifespan is 8 to 15 years. But with the Solar Plan, you have peace of mind that all repairs and replacements are covered for the duration of the plan – up to 25 years.
The plan does not cover removal and replacement of functioning solar equipment for the purpose of making roof repairs.
What if I change my mind?
If you’d like to exit your Solar Plan early or you’re selling your property, you can end your plan at any time by paying the lump sum outlined in your contract, with no early repayment or cancellation fees.
What happens at the end of the term?
If you choose to upgrade your system we’ll set you up with a new Solar Plan. Otherwise your plan will automatically end as per our terms.
